So here it's been almost a month since I posted anything on the blog. It's because I use facebook everyday! I put my thoughts, pictures etc. on my facebook page. However, I can't get on facebook at work so pictures I post there can't be shared at work. The tough thing with blogspot is that I can only load a few pictures at a time. So here are a few from the past month.

Troy and I went clam digging with Alexys, I went to Washington DC with 10 WWII veterans for Honor Flight, and then there are the flowers from the yard. Enjoy these!

Funny

The friendly neighborhood pheasant has become a regular on my front porch! He is quite taken with his reflection in the brass kickplate. He talks to it, pecks at it and runs toward it to be sure it is still there. So much fun to watch I can sit there for hours!

It's here!

Yes spring is here. It officially begins tomorrow, but the sun is out, the dandelions are blooming and the allergies have kicked in. I dusted off the umbrella for the patio table and washed the table top off ( it was covered in pollen). I will save the lawn mowing until tomorrow since we are supposed to have showers starting again on Sunday. Might as well wait as long as possible. I also planted some lavendar today. It's time to get this sad old yard in shape!

Hello spring!

What a beautiful spring day we are having today. It is 65 degrees outside and it smells lovely! The lilac buds are straining to open and the open blooms look like snow on the ground. It has been a down day with me feeling like I'm not living up to my potential. I NEED to feed people but have no idea how to go about it. I feel impotent. And I have a frog telling me he's happy to be here.

Spring?

Here it is, the middlish of March. It has been such a mild winter so we are having a very early spring. Today, however, is cold and ugly outside. Thank goodness that things are blooming to brighten up the dreary day. I am recuperating from a cold but had a relapse today. Here's to hoping that tomorrow will be brighter!

This past weekend I got to go to Longview to babysit our granddaughter Alexys. We had a great time. The weather was beautiful so we went to the park two days in a row. She is growing so fast that in a blink of an eye she will be graduating from college!
